Architecture and Interior Design Workshops at Terasaki Budokan

Terasaki Budokan is excited to announce new workshop offerings taught by Justin Sasada, architect at Gonzalez Goodale Architects as well as professor at Pasadena City College and Woodbury University.

We will offer two separate workshops that will explore the unique architecture of Terasaki Budokan and the surrounding Downtown Los Angeles structures in addition to a crash course to interior design workshop.

Architectural Tour:

Bring your glasses, mask, camera, and walking shoes! This architectural tour will begin at the newly constructed Budokan Community Center and make its way to significant architectural projects in the area, including the Walt Disney concert hall, Bradbury Building, and The Broad. This tour includes a well-deserved bento box and your cardio exercise for the day.

Saturday, June 12, 2020

Time: 10am – 2pm

Registration: $20 (includes a lunch bento from local restaurant, Azay)

Crash Course in Interior Design Workshop:

If the pandemic has made anything obvious, it’s that you need to enjoy the space you occupy the most, your home! In this workshop, you will bring images of different spaces in your home where you will get to brainstorm and discuss with a designer on how to spruce up that space using basic principles of design while embedding your unique style.

Location: Community Room

Saturday, June 26 , 2020

Time: 10:00am – 12pm
