BILL & RUTH WATANABE TRIBUTE
Help us commemorate Bill & Ruth Watanabe’s leadership and commitment to the Little Tokyo community by participating in this fundraising campaign to name the Terasaki Budokan Director’s Office in their honor.
Bill Watanabe served as Little Tokyo Service Center’s executive director for over 30 years until is retirement in 2012. A visionary leader, Bill stewarded the modest service center serving primarily Japanese American seniors to what is today a multi-faceted organization serving all of Los Angeles.
When completed in 2019, Terasaki Budokan will bring youth from all over the Southland for sports and will promote Japanese culture to Little Tokyo visitors.
Naming the Director’s Office for Bill will be a fitting tribute to his faith, belief and powers of persuasion that brought the dream of a sports and community center to fruition.
To make this naming opportunity possible, we need your help to meet our $100,000 goal.
We have collected $100,842.00 of our $100,000.00 target. It is 100.84% of our goal for the Bill and Ruth Watanabe campaign
