    Inaugural Budokan Golf Tournament


    Inaugural Budokan Golf Tournament was Monday, November 11th at Friendly Hills Country Club in Whittier.  All proceeds from this event will benefit Terasaki Budokan.  Your registration includes green fee, cart, lunch, dinner and a Budokan Nike polo and Nalgene water bottle!  This event has sold out!

      Straight Outta Little Tokyo


      Straight Outta Little Tokyo 4 happened Saturday, June 29th from 7pm to 1am at Nishi Hongwanji Buddhist Temple in DTLA.  SOLT4 is a charity event centered around 90’s hip hop and R&B music, organized by volunteers (aka Friends of Budokan) to benefit Terasaki Budokan.  Thank you for joining us for a night of live music performances by Rodney O and Trinere, 90’s hip hop DJ’s, B-boy battle, food, drinks, games and more!  Please watch the video for SOLT4 highlights!

        11th Annual BoLAthon


        Our 11th Annual BoLAthon was Saturday, August 3rd from 6pm-9pm at The Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. BoLAthon is a youth bowling tournament to benefit Terasaki Budokan, each $25 player registration includes 3 hours of bowling, shoe rental, tshirt and goody bag!  This year we maxed out at 350 participants, keep the good times rolling!

        2 indoor high school regulation basketball courts will be separated by a drop down curtain and available to rent for practice, leagues, tournaments and clinics.  There will also be regularly scheduled open court time for the public to play pickup games or practice their shot.

        2017 Budokan Volleyball Tournament Adina Mori-Holt


        Up to 4 indoor volleyball courts will be available to rent for practice, leagues, tournaments and clinics.  There are 3 different court configurations (1 championship court, 2 college regulation courts or 4 practice courts) to accommodate your volleyball needs.


        Martial Arts

        Terasaki Budokan will be a premier martial arts training and competition venue for karate, judo, kendo and aikido.  The Japanese word Budokan literally translates to mean, “martial arts hall” in English.  Our logo is the Japanese character “do” (in Budokan) and means, “the path,” “the way,” or “the journey.”

        Youth Activities

        A variety of youth activities (including after school programs, leadership workshops, sports clinics and community events) will be available at Terasaki Budokan for local residents and for future generations to connect with the cultural heritage of Little Tokyo.

        Intergenerational programs to address physical and mental health needs will be available to our local senior residents and commuters alike.  Classes and workshops will be tailored to engage and strengthen our sense of community.

        Arts & Culture

        Terasaki Budokan will support local visual and performing artists by hosting performances, workshops, exhibitions and installations. Budokan aims to introduce the rich cultural heritage of Little Tokyo and the Japanese American experience to visitors and new audiences.


        Throughout the years, our community-driven project has participated in and is supported by many, many fundraising and outreach events.
